In my first project I took my own drawing and transfered the ideas behind it into a video medium. To do this I looked at the formal qualities behind the drawing and tried to illustrate them in the video. An example of this is how the colors in the drawing relate to the colors in the video. Another way the drawing and the video relate is in the linear qualities of the drawing and the video, both of which have distinct lines in them. Content wise the importance of the motion in the video as well as motion in the drawing illustrate the idea of repetition and symbolizes abnormality in the way the drawing is stretched and the video has stretched elements as well. As far as context goes the idea behind both works is to create a mood that is somewhat energetic in how it is perceived.
